RFK Jr. tops 2024 candidates in favorability, while Chris Christie ranks lowest.

Robert Kennedy Jr. Leads in Net Favorability Among 2024 Presidential Candidates

According to a recent poll, Robert Kennedy Jr. has emerged as the most favorably viewed candidate for the 2024 presidential race. On the other hand, former New Jersey GOP Gov. Chris Christie received the lowest favorability ratings.

The Economist-YouGov poll revealed that 49% of respondents held a very or somewhat favorable view of Kennedy, while only 30% viewed him unfavorably. This resulted in a net favorability of 19 points. In contrast, 51% of respondents had an unfavorable view of Christie, with only 27% viewing him favorably. This gave Christie a net favorability of negative 24 points.

Kennedy’s Favorability Surpasses Front-Runners

What makes Kennedy’s favorability ratings even more impressive is that they surpass those of the current front-runners from both parties. President Joe Biden has a net favorability of negative 6 points, while former President Donald Trump’s is negative 10. However, Kennedy benefits from being less well-known than the two front-runners, with 21% of respondents unsure about their opinion of him, compared to just 3% for Trump and Biden.

Furthermore, Kennedy’s appeal extends across party lines, as Republicans and conservatives hold more favorable views of him compared to liberals or Democrats.

On the other hand, Christie’s unfavorable ratings were evenly distributed among both Republicans and conservatives, as well as liberals and Democrats.

The poll, conducted from June 10-13 among 1,500 U.S. adults, had a margin of error of 2.9 points.
