Polling Finds Chicago Mayor Lightfoot in Fourth Place Ahead of Next Month’s Election
Chicago’s Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot has a close race ahead of her final weeks in her bid for another term as the leader of the Windy City. She was elected in 2019, her first attempt at public office.
The most recent “2023 Race for Mayor Survey” The results of the poll, which were conducted at the close of 2022, were released by local outlets The Daily Line (and Crain’s Chicago Business) this month. They show the state of play within the eight-candidate field for the post of mayor. Lightfoot…isn’t the leader of the pack.
According to the survey Lightfoot ranked fourth. Jesus is also an option “Chuy” Brandon Johnson and Garcia had 25 percent each, while Paul Vallas was able to get 15%. Lightfoot was polled at only 11 percent.

Their survey polled over 1,700 Chicagoans, according to The Daily Line & Crain’s Chicago Business “from a variety of sources” Their margin of error was three percent plus or minus.
