Pompeo: Biden’s Diplomatic Boycott Of Winter Olympics ‘Does Not Go Far Enough’
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo criticized President Joe Biden’s decision to hit China with a diplomatic boycott of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, arguing that the move “does not go far enough” and that the Games should be fully boycotted.
“Biden’s diplomatic boycott of the #Olympics does not go far enough. The CCP should not be rewarded for committing genocide & ignoring basic human rights,” Pompeo said on Twitter.
“Furthermore, it’s in the best interests of the health & safety of our athletes to fully #BoycottBeijingOlympics,” he added.

The attack was not Pompeo’s first time to speak out against China holding the Winter Olympics due to its human rights abuses.
“The CCP has disappeared reporters writing about Wuhan virus, docs telling the truth about CCP labs, a prof tennis player, Uighurs, Hong Kongers & the head of Interpol.”
“Let’s disappear the Olympics from them & hold it in a place the world can be proud of,” he wrote in November.

On November 4, Pompeo called out the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for turning “a blind eye” to China’s human rights “atrocities.”
“Exactly 3 months until the Beijing Olympics are scheduled to start. The IOC has made it clear it has been corrupted by Communist Party money & is willing to turn a blind eye to the human rights atrocities committed by the CCP (including genocide),” he wrote.

There is still time to boycott.

During a March interview with Fox News, Pompeo said that allowing Beijing to host the Olympics was similar to allowing Nazi Germany to host the 1936 Summer Olympic Games.
“We know the history and those of us who have worked with our friends in Israel and have worked on anti-Semitism have talked about never allowing what happened in the 1930s to happen again …” Pompeo told Fox News host John Roberts.
“Well, what’s happening in the 1930s is happening in western China today. There are eerie, eerie similarities between the two, and hosting the Olympic Games — as the Germans were able to do in 1936 — gave great credibility to that regime,” Pompeo added. “We ought not to permit that to happen. The International Olympic Committee has a responsibility to make sure that host for these games deserve it. This regime certainly does not,” he added.
The Daily Wire reported on December 6:
On Monday, the United States government announced an official diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics in response to human rights violations committed by the Chinese Communist Party. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki made the announcement during her Monday appearance before the White House pool.
“The Biden administration will not send any diplomatic or official representation to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games, given the PRC’s ongoing genocide and crimes against humanity,” Psaki told media.
