President Trump spoke out against Anthony Fauci and said he was wrong too often. On Monday, the 45th President went on “The Truth with Lisa Boothe” podcast, saying he listened to the infectious diseases expert, but didn’t do what he said.
President Trump suggested more lives would have been lost if he took Fauci’s advice. He touted his administration’s travel restrictions on China when the pandemic was first announced as well as expediting a working COVID-19 vaccine.

“But the big thing I did for the world is: I went to the FDA,” Trump stated. “I said ‘fellas, it’s over, this is going to go fast.’ It would have taken five years for another president. A guy like Biden would have taken five years for the vaccine to be approved.”
The President also applauded Republican governors for reopening their states and keeping their economies afloat.
