President Trump mourns the death of Prince Philip

President Trump offered his condolences to the royal family over the late Duke of Edinburgh. In a statement Friday, the 45th President said his passing was an “irreplaceable loss for great Britain.”
“Over the past few years, Melania and I were honored to have the opportunity to visit the United Kingdom. We saw firsthand how the Monarchy epitomizes and carries on the virtues of the British people—and no one did so more than Prince Philip.”

President Trump added, that Philip was “a man who embodied the noble soul and proud spirit of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth and “defined British dignity and grace.”
President Trump and I extend our deepest condolences to Her Majesty the Queen, the Royal Family, and the people of Great Britain as the world mourns the loss of Prince Philip.

He also remembered his trips to the U.K. where he “saw firsthand how the monarchy epitomizes and carries on the virtues of the British people and no one did so more than Prince Philip.”
President Trump’s comments came as many world leaders expressed sympathies to the royal family.
