Priscilla Presley Contests Amendment To Late Daughter’s Will — Lisa Marie Reportedly Cut Her Out

Priscilla Presley has reportedly contested her late daughter’s will, filing court documents on Thursday in Los Angeles that challenge the validity of a 2016 amendment removing her and a former business manager as trustees.

Lisa Marie Presley, Priscilla’s daughter with her late husband and singer Elvis Presley, had died two weeks earlier after going into cardiac arrest at her home. She was 54.

According to a Report From entertainment website Page Six, Presley (77) has asked the court to determine “the authenticity and validity” of the amendment — which removed both Presley and Lisa Marie’s former business manager Barry Siegel as trustees and replaced them with her two children from her first marriage — Riley and Benjamin Keough. But since Benjamin’s death by suicide in 2020, it left her daughter Riley as the sole trustee.

Page Six has obtained court documents that show that Siegel and Presley were first named trustees in 1993 when Lisa Marie died. “executed a revocable living trust, which she amended and completely restated on Jan. 27, 2010.”

Presley claimed that she had not ever seen the 2016 amendment until after her daughter’s passing and alleged in the court filing that the signature did not appear valid and may have even included a misspelling of her daughter’s name. It “appears inconsistent with her usual and customary signature,” She claimed.

Further Reporting from entertainment site TMZ revealed that Lisa Marie had been several million dollars in debt when she died — allegedly owing more than $2 million to the IRS alone — but she also had some $35 million in life insurance. That money was reported to be left in equal amounts to her children — Riley Keough and 14-year-old twins, Finley and Harper Lockwood.

Because the twins are minors, the money is to remain in trust until they come of age — which is when the conflict between Presley and her granddaughter Riley could potentially arise.
