Pro-Hamas Demonstrators Celebrate Oct. 7 Attack On Israel
On the one-year anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel that resulted in approximately 1,200 civilian deaths, pro-Hamas demonstrators rallied in several U.S. cities, including New York City. Protesters obstructed streets while waving Palestinian flags and displays celebrating Hamas. Notable incidents included participants sporting imagery associated with Hamas and advocating for the destruction of Israel, calling for “all of it” rather than a two-state solution.
Tensions heightened as pro-Hamas individuals confronted pro-Israel supporters, leading to physical altercations, one resulting in a man sustaining injuries after a scuffle over an Israeli flag. Demonstrations also took place at Columbia University, where slogans and chants opposing Israel were prevalent. Protesters even disrupted subway trains in New York City, exacerbating fear and intimidation among Jewish passengers. In Washington, D.C., pro-Hamas protests were similarly reported outside the Israeli embassy.
Pro-Hamas demonstrators took to the streets on Monday to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Iranian-backed terrorist group’s attack on Israel that left roughly 1,200 civilians dead.
In New York City, protestors reportedly blocked streets while waiving Palestinian flags and signs. The Washington Free Beacon’s Jessica Costescu documented one man wearing a shirt with what appears to be an image of a Hamas fighter and another individual holding up a sign that reads, “Glory to My Palestinian Brothers. Victory is Surely Yours.”
A flag with the phrase, “Long Live Oct. 7,” was spotted waiving among the crowds. According to Costescu, the phrase was written on a flag affiliated with Samidoun, an “Israeli-designated terrorist organization.”
Demonstrators also seemingly advocated for Israel’s destruction, shouting, “We don’t want no two state. We want all of it.”

Agitators also reportedly accosted pro-Israel protestors in the city. One video shows a man pull an Israeli flag out of his coat pocket, at which point a pro-Hamas anarchist attempts to grab it away from him. After a brief scuffle, another pro-Hamas demonstrator repeatedly hits the man with her tambourine.
According to Costescu, the man was “bleeding” after the incident and had his flag stolen.
The antisemitic demonstrations also continued at Columbia University, where protestors shouted, “Resistance is glorious,” and chanted for “divestment” from Israel.
Demonstrators also took over NYC subways.
Pro-Hamas demonstrators also reportedly marched outside of the Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C., according to News2Share Editor-in-Chief Ford Fischer. Demonstrations were also reported in Los Angeles, Chicago, and at Tufts University in Massachusetts.
Anti-Israel protestors also gathered to protest across the globe in cities such as Berlin. Among those to partake in the event was climate alarmist Greta Thunberg, who accused Germany of being “complicit” in “genocide” and “legitimiz[ing] Israel’s apartheid-state occupation and genocide.”
