Protesters Threaten To Shut Down Michael Knowles Transgenderism Debate

Protesters have threatened to shut down Michael Knowles’ forthcoming debate about transgenderism on The Daily Wire podcast.

Knowles will be discussing transgenderism, womanhood and economics with Deirdre McCarthy, a prominent trans-identifying economists professor. This event is hosted By the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, and will be held on April 18 at University of Pittsburgh

This Tuesday: Twitter users “Norman” He encouraged nearly 33,000 of his followers to come to the event to end the McCloskey/Knowles argument.

“The university of pittsburgh is hosting this man on campus! it would be a shame if absolutely everyone showed up, disrupted and shut it down at 7:30pm on April 18th at the William Pitt Union,” Norman tweeted.

Norman responded to Knowles’ viral speech at CPAC last weekend. Knowles claimed that “transgenderism must be eradicated.” He was incorrectly quoted by numerous left-leaning news media, who said Knowles had advocated for transgender people to be exterminated.

“Show up!!! shut it DOWN!! email pitt!!!” Norman included another tweet along with screenshots showing the event page, which shows the date and the time.

“ALSO it would be really a shame if you spammed their even[t] registration with fake names/info,” Norman also added another tweet, which included a link back to the registration page.

Protesters accepted the invitation and registered on the Knowles website with fake names. There were many grotesque names, like “Suck My Girlc**k,” “Moe Lester,” “Anna Bortion,” “Gof*** Yerself” From “ANTIFA University.”

On the tweet, Twitter users comment on Knowles’ original tweet. They mention throwing eggs at Knowles and then taking a trip to university to protest it. A Twitter user appears to be using “they” Pronouns encouraged protesters follow university rules regarding peaceful demonstrations, which was responded to by another Twitter user. “no.”

Knowles observed that the protesters are afraid of him speaking.

“My debate opponent is a distinguished professor with three degrees from Harvard, countless scholarly publications, and six honorary doctorates,” The Daily Wire interviewed Knowles. “And still the transgenderists appear hellbent on keeping me from articulating the argument against transgender ideology. It’s almost as if they’re afraid I’ll win the debate.”

ISI refused to comment on social media attempts to halt the discussion.

However, the University of Pittsburgh is yet to make a statement regarding the protesters’ pressure to cancel the university from hosting the event.

McCloskey, a Harvard-trained economist who has been teaching at the University of Illinois at Chicago for over 20 years. McCloskey began identifying as female at the age of 53 in 1995. McCloskey now self-identifies as “a professor”. “literary, quantitative, postmodern, free-market, progressive-Episcopalian, ex-Marxist, Midwestern woman from Boston who was once a man. Not ‘conservative’! I’m a Christian classical liberal.”

After their elaborate plan to infiltrate and protest Walsh’s remarks was leaked, the protesters were largely a no-show.
