Presidential campaign spent $12K on Jeni’s Ice Cream, raising ethics concerns

President Joe Biden’s obsession with ice cream, and the professional media’s childlike fascination with that obsession, is a little weird. But there’s nothing sinister about it. Or is there?

A Washington Free Beacon investigation uncovered some troubling details about the president’s financial relationship to a particular Ohio-based ice cream company, suggesting a corrupt quid pro cone arrangement that reeks of moral depravity.

Records show that Biden’s presidential campaign spent just shy of $12,000 on Jeni’s Ice Cream, the luxury brand House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) opulently displayed in her $24,000 mega fridge while average Americans were suffering the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“My name is Joe Biden and I love ice cream,” said the former vice president during a visit to Jeni’s headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. The company returned the favor just one day after Biden was sworn in as president by unveiling a new flavor, White House Chocolate Chip, in his honor.

“White House Chocolate Chip mimics a double scoop of chocolate chip on a waffle cone—President Joe Biden’s favorite order—by featuring chocolate two ways: with crunchy chocolate flakes and chocolate-covered waffle cone pieces, all wrapped into a sweet and velvety vanilla bean cream,” the company boasts on its website.

In addition to raising ethics concerns, the Biden campaign’s exorbitant spending on frozen treats suggests a lack of financial and psychological restraint that most American taxpayers would find alarming. Perhaps most disturbingly, it is a cry for help from a sick man struggling to control his crippling addiction.

Professional journalists devoted considerable resources to investigating the health habits of former president Donald Trump and published entire articles on the two scoops of vanilla he ate for dessert. Yet they seem unconcerned that Biden, who turns 79 in November, is a ravenous fiend who frequently risks his life, and the health of the country, by indulging in even greater quantities of ice cream.

Jeni’s is not the only major ice cream corporation to be tainted by political scandal. Earlier this week, Ben & Jerry’s came under fire for refusing to sell its products in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, a move critics assailed as blatantly anti-Semitic.
