Racializing the Death of a Black Man by the Police, Part I

The incident became international news when five Memphis police officers beat, pepper-sprayed, and punched a black suspect named Tyre Nichols. He later died in the hospital. On social media, there was a viral picture of him in hospital showing his bloodied, battered face.

A black female police chief stated that she was disgusted by the incident. “In my 36 years … I would have to say I don’t think I’ve ever been more horrified and disgusted, sad … and, to some degree, confused.” The cops were fired. All are being charged with second-degree murder.

The video from the bodycam and an outdoor camera was also released. There is no video of the incident that caused Nichol to stop his car.

Nichols’ mother said at a press event arranged by her lawyer, “I hate the fact that us as black people, we out here killing each other. I don’t know why?” The five officers accused of second-degree Murder are right.  All black.

It didn’t take long for Democrats to realize this, and it was not a problem for the Democratic media. still Raciallyize the issue. A Democrat playing the race cards is more creative than anything else. Michelle Obama and Barack Obama called it a “painful reminder” The cop problem in America.

In an interview, the new mayor of Los Angeles was a black woman. “Even with the black officers, I wonder how they would have reacted if it was a young white person?” The white male reporter didn’t push back and made no objections. His media colleagues and he are both part of the problem for allowing incendiary remarks to continue unchecked.

The Rev. Al Sharpton stated, “(Tyre Nichols’ death) is an outrage and race is still involved.” Van Jones, CNN’s CNN correspondent, stated that the cops were not black. “they might still have been driven by racism.”

These are the facts. It is very rare for cops not to kill anyone — an average of around 1,000 people per year over the past eight years, 82% of them armied (mostly with guns), from a population of over 334 million. In 2018, over 61.5million civilians had at least one contact with police, and nearly 54 million had contact with police by 2020, according the Bureau of Justice Statistics. Unarmed black people are less likely to be murdered.

An ex-data scientist at Thompson Reuters wrote 2021: “Over the past five years, police have killed 39% more unarmed whites than unarmed blacks. … The raw statistics suggest that there is actually a slight anti-white bias (emphasis added) in police applications of lethal force.” According to the Washington Post database in 2020, 459 whites were killed by police, 26 of whom were unarmed. 242 blacks were also killed, with 18 unarmed. In 2021, 446 whites were killed, 8 of them unarmed. 233 blacks were also killed, 11 of whom were unarmed. In 2022: 389 whites, 9 unarmed; 225 blacks, 7 unarmed. 12 unarmed black men were killed by police in 2019. Policemag.com conducted a survey and found that 12 unarmed black men were killed by police in 2019. “very liberal” More than 50% of respondents believed the police killed at least 1,000 unarmed black men during 2019. Three-quarters of self-described “liberals” The number was also estimated at 1,000

Criminality is equally distributed in the community. Heather Mac Donald is the author of “War On Cops” says, “In the 75 largest counties, which is where most of the population resides, blacks constitute around 60 percent of all robbery and murders defendants, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics.” She notes: “African Americans between the ages of 10 and 34 die from homicide at 13 times the rate of white Americans, according to researchers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Justice Department.” Almost always, the young black male is the murderer. This is why the “disproportionate” Interaction between police and blacks Chicago saw 30 shootings last weekend. Seven of those killed. Baltimore and St. Louis have three times the homicide rate of Chicago.
