Ramaswamy credits Trump for bringing voters ‘together under a broad tent’ – Washington Examiner
Vivek Ramaswamy recently expressed his support for Donald Trump’s campaign, highlighting the diverse coalition of voters that have rallied together under Trump’s leadership. Ramaswamy noted that this group includes former Democrats, independents, libertarians, and a multiethnic working-class demographic, showcasing a unique unity that he attributes to Trump. He emphasized the “energy” he has observed among Trump’s supporters while traveling across the country, implying that this growing coalition will play a significant role in shaping the future of the Republican Party and potentially aid Trump in securing a second term in office. Ramaswamy’s reflections were shared during a segment on Fox News’ “Hannity.”
Ramaswamy credits Trump for bringing voters ‘together under a broad tent’
Vivek Ramaswamy witnessed a diverse coalition that has “come together under a broad tent” in the name of former President Donald Trump while campaigning for him.
Monday marked the end of Trump’s campaign, which Ramaswamy worked on ever since dropping out of the race in January. The Ohio-based entrepreneur has traveled the country on the former president’s behalf and noticed an “energy” behind Trump supporters.
“There are people who are former Democrats, independents, libertarians, young and old, a multiethnic working-class coalition of voters that have really come together under a broad tent that I give Donald Trump immense credit for building,” Ramaswamy said on Hannity on Monday. “That’s what a leader actually has to do. He has to unite different coalitions. I think he’s done that beautifully.”
Ramaswamy predicted that this coalition will make up the new Republican Party and will help elect Trump into office for his second term.
“I see an energy, especially from demographic groups that have historically gone Democrat, including young people, including Gen Z, coming our way,” Ramaswamy said. “We can’t celebrate yet. But my sixth sense, my gut from traveling this country, Pennsylvania twice over the course of just the last week and last few days, suggests to me that there is something real going on here. This could be a decisive, unifying victory where by tomorrow night, if not late into the next day Wednesday morning or Wednesday evening, we know exactly who will be the next president — that’s Donald Trump. And uniting this country will then be the next step.”
A RealClearPolitics poll average from Tuesday morning showed Harris with a slight 0.1-percentage-point lead nationwide.
Trump has garnered the endorsement of all but three of his former Republican opponents: former Vice President Mike Pence and ex-Govs. Asa Hutchinson and Chris Christie. Meanwhile, even his former independent opponent Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whose name will continue to appear on some ballots, has endorsed Trump.
