When‍ asked about the implications of having ⁢a convicted felon as​ president, referring to Trump’s ongoing legal battles, Ramaswamy dismissed the cases as “downright politicized​ persecutions.” He expressed concern about the potential erosion of democracy, stating, “I do not want to see us become⁤ a ‘banana republic’ where the administrative‍ police state uses force to eliminate ​opponents ⁢from competition.”

Fulton County District⁤ Attorney Fani Willis intends to try Trump, ⁤Giuliani, and 17 co-defendants ⁤together. ‌However, legal battles have already begun, with numerous court filings since the indictment was filed on August​ 14.
