Ramaswamy pledges to halt birthright citizenship for undocumented immigrants and their kids.

Entrepreneur and ⁢Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy

Vivek Ramaswamy, an entrepreneur and Republican presidential⁣ hopeful, made a bold promise on Wednesday. If⁤ elected president,‍ he vowed to put an end to birthright citizenship for illegal⁢ immigrants and their children.

During an interview⁢ with the crew of Timcast ‍IRL, Ramaswamy ‌passionately stated, “I would⁣ end birthright citizenship for illegal immigrants and the children of illegal immigrants. What ⁤does it mean for everybody else? I mean, ⁤we’re all citizens, whether sixth-generation or first-generation in‌ my case.”

Ramaswamy‍ firmly believes that⁤ if an individual ⁣enters the United States illegally and has a‌ child, it creates an⁢ unfair situation for law-abiding citizens.‍ When asked about deporting ‍infants, he‍ clarified that the entire ⁣family ⁣would⁢ be deported as a unit.

“You take the ⁣whole family unit,” Ramaswamy ⁣explained. “I’m ‌strongly opposed to policies that would separate kids⁢ from their parents.⁤ I think that was discussed ⁤even ⁢in‍ the Trump administration‌ as a ⁣tactic for deterring people from coming.”

As a pro-family leader, Ramaswamy emphasized that ⁣he would not adopt such a policy. However, he firmly ⁢believes that ⁤those ‌who entered‌ the country illegally should be sent back to their country of⁣ origin.‍ He advocates for them to return through legal ⁣means, just like anyone else seeking entry into the United States.
