Rand Paul staffer stabbed over the weekend

A staffer for Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) was hurt in a stabbing in Washington, D.C., over the weekend, the senator’s office confirmed in a statement on Monday.

Unidentified staff member was stabbed in broad daylight and taken to a doctor. According to the legislator, a believe has been detained and the staff member is still recovering.

Paul stated in a statement made public with the Washington Examiner,” This past weekend, one of my staff members was viciously attacked in broad day in Washington, D. C.”

” I beg you to visit Kelley and me in praying for a quick and full recovery and expressing our gratitude to the police, clinic staff, and very responders.” We are happy to learn that the defendant has been taken into custody. We would request privacy at this time so that everyone could concentrate on recuperating ,” he continued.

According to NBC News Washington, Paul’s work also confirmed that the attacked employee was the same person who was stabbed on Saturday on H Street NE. Neal Glynn, 42, the defendant in that affair, was taken into custody on Monday. Glynn has been accused of committing an assault with the intent to kill( Knife ).

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the staff member was taken to a nearby doctor where he received treatment for life-threatening problems.

One month has passed since Rep. Angie Craig( D – MN) was assaulted in an airplane at her Washington apartment. Additionally, it comes not long after President Joe Biden opposed changes to the territory that code that were criticized for being too lenient on offense.
