Records: Missouri County Used Taxpayer Money To Join Democrats’ Private Election Takeover Scheme
New records have revealed that Boone County in Missouri used taxpayer funds to join a coalition financed by left-leaning nonprofits. These organizations use private money and influence local elections offices all over the country.
The Honest Elections Project was created through a series public records requests. Discovered Brianna Lennon, Boone County Clerk, paid $1,600 for membership to the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence. The U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence was launched last year and is made up of left-leaning nonprofits like the Center for Tech and Civic Life. Groups such as CTCL received funding during the 2020 election. Many millions of dollars Mark Zuckerberg, Meta CEO These are “Zuckbucks” funds were directed to local election offices in battleground state across the country to improve the administration of elections. This included expanding secure election protocols such as mail-in voting or using ballot drop boxes. The grants were heavily skewed in favor of Democrat-majority countries, essentially making this a huge Democrat get out-the-vote operation.
CTCL distributed the following information in preparation for the 2020 contest: $6.8 million “Zuckbucks” to their local election offices in Missouri. State Republicans responded. Passed HB 1878 is a law that provides for the following: “neither the state of Missouri nor any political subdivision thereof that conducts elections shall receive or expend private moneys, excluding in-kind donations, for preparing, administering, or conducting an election, including registering voters.”
The U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence attempts to duplicate CTCL’s strategy in the run-up to the 2024 elections. “Zuckbucks” bans by Provider Election offices “scholarships” Alliance membership costs will be covered. These scholarships are then “instantly converted into ‘credits’ that member offices can use to buy services from CTCL and other Alliance partners.”

There is currently no evidence suggesting that Boone County received private money from the Alliance of the United States or its partners. Jason Snead Executive Director at Honest Elections Project says however that there is concern about the lack of transparency by the locality in the use taxpayer dollars for the coalition.
“While all of the other offices that have joined, at least the ones that we’re aware of, have been very public in joining, I have not seen anything pushed out from Boone County yet,” Snead narrates The Heartlander. “They just spent $1,600 in taxpayer funds to join a highly partisan left-wing organization, and they haven’t told the public that they’re doing this.”
Snead, in a statement to The Federalist, explained that Missouri prohibits local election officers from accepting private money, so Boone County is now essentially a cash-neutral entity. “bought their way” In the Alliance
“This is precisely why CTCL ‘pivoted’ (their characterization) from their original model to a fee-based membership model,” He said. “For jurisdictions that are permitted to receive grants, those fees are effectively waived. But jurisdictions that cannot receive private grants can still buy their way in for a relatively small sum, allowing the Alliance to spread its influence even in states where lawmakers have tried to prevent it.”
The Federalist asked for information from the Missouri secretary of state. They did not respond to The Federalist’s inquiry about whether they plan to investigate Boone County in connection with its decision to join The Alliance.
