Cori Bush has also said that the fossil fuel industry is “a striking example of white supremacy.”
Leftist Missouri Congresswoman Cori Bush featured clips of Republicans such as Lauren Boebert, Ted Cruz, Lindsay Graham, and Josh Hawley, among others in a new campaign ad that labeled them all white supremacists.
Bush tweeted the campaign ad on Saturday saying “We’re facing threats from a growing far-right, white supremacist movement across Missouri and the country. But I’ve seen the power we hold when we come together. We’ve proven it & we’ll never back down. There’s so much at stake. Let’s continue this work. Together.” Bush has also said that the fossil fuel industry is “a striking example of white supremacy.”
Cori Bush rose to prominence as a Black Lives Matter activist in Missouri after the 2014 shooting of Michael Brown. Her efforts led to one of the earliest “Defund the Police” movements in Missouri which caused the first “The Ferguson Effect.”
After Bush’s demand for less law enforcement in Ferguson, Missouri, violent crime surged in the city which included an additional 2,000 black homicides between 2015 and 2016.
“On January 6, while under attack by white supremacists, Cori went to work protecting our democracy,” the ad boasts. No significant evidence has emerged that links white supremacy to the events on January 6. Libby Emmons for The Post Millennial wrote that most liberals, like Bush, continue to “fetishize” January 6 in an attempt to marginalize Republicans and codify Democrat power without competition.
The ad juxtaposes a bill Bush sponsored, H.Res.25, which targeted fellow representatives with the intent of linking them to January 6.
In July of last year Bush spent almost $70,000 on private security while proselytizing the “Defund the Police” sloganeering. Bush has also been linked with known antisemitic activists.
On her website Bush explicitly says she cares only about black voters.
Bush has called the US Supreme Court white supremacist for overturning Roe v. Wade and has called Donald Trump, oil executives, Congresswomen, colleges, and has claimed everything in America is a system of oppression aimed at black people that can only be fixed with Ibrim X. Kendi’s philosophy of anti-racism.
Democratic state Senator Steve Roberts challenged Congresswoman Bush to represent Missouri’s 1st Congressional District in March.
