‘Resistance’ revealed: Liberal bureaucrats to fight Trump

All but one group of influential people is warming to the incoming Trump administration: federal government “managers” who backed Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

According to a new survey shared with Secrets, they not only dislike President-elect Donald Trump, but they are planning to resist his efforts to reform and drain the “swamp.”

Some 80% of government managers who voted for Harris told the survey for Scott Rasmussen’s Napolitan Institute and RMG Research that they would resist Trump when his team takes office on Jan. 20, a week from Monday.

What’s more, just 17% of “Democratic managers” plan to follow the new orders expected from Trump.

“This suggests that the Trump administration can expect to encounter substantial efforts by government leaders to block the president’s initiatives,” the survey said.

It wasn’t all bad news from the swamp, however. The survey said government managers are split nearly 50-50 between Democrats and Republicans and that they are similarly split on giving Trump a hand as he enters office for a second time, showing that the swamp, just like America, is divided on Trump.

Trump has promised to reduce the size of the federal bureaucracy, which reached a historic high during the presidency of Joe Biden. He made a similar pledge in his 2016 victory but failed to deliver.

While the commitment to “resistance” by liberal federal managers is the obvious headline from Rasmussen’s survey, just as significant is how America’s elites and Main Street patriots are warming up to Trump.

“It is worth noting that Donald Trump received just under 50% of the vote, but 56% of voters are now willing to support his administration,” the survey said.
