RFK Jr suggests COVID-19 targeted whites, spared Jews: Report

RFK Jr. Alleges COVID-19 Targeted Certain Groups

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has made a controversial claim, suggesting that COVID-19 was intentionally designed to spare Jews and Chinese people. During a question-and-answer session at a popular New York restaurant, Kennedy discussed the virus, biological weapons, and China’s involvement.

In a video released by the New York Post, Kennedy stated, “COVID-19. There is an argument that it is ethnically targeted. COVID-19 attacks certain races disproportionately. It is targeted to attack Caucasians and black people. The people who are most immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese.”

While acknowledging that there is no conclusive evidence to support his theory, Kennedy pointed to papers that highlight racial and ethnic disparities in the impact of the virus. He also expressed concerns about the development of even more potent biological weapons that would make COVID-19 seem mild in comparison.

According to Kennedy, both China and the United States are investing significant resources in the development of ethnic bioweapons. He claimed, “They’re collecting Russian DNA. They’re collecting Chinese DNA so we can target people by race.”

Backlash and Antisemitic Associations

Unsurprisingly, Kennedy’s remarks have drawn strong criticism from Jewish advocacy groups. The Anti-Defamation League issued a statement condemning his claims, stating that they perpetuate sinophobic and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories surrounding COVID-19.

Furthermore, Kennedy’s comments align with antisemitic literature that emerged early in the pandemic, as highlighted in The Center for the Study of Contemporary European Jewry’s 2021 Antisemitism Worldwide Report from the University of Tel Aviv.

While there is ongoing debate among U.S. intelligence agencies regarding the origins of COVID-19, there is currently no evidence to support the notion that the virus selectively affects specific groups.

It is worth noting that some countries, including Russia, have reported lower casualty rates among Jewish communities. However, experts suspect that these figures may be influenced by government cover-ups rather than any inherent immunity.

Kennedy’s Political Standing

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a prominent contender in the Democratic primary, posing a significant challenge to President Joe Biden. Recent polls indicate that Kennedy has garnered between 8% to 20% of the vote among Democratic voters, according to RealClearPolitics. Additionally, he has demonstrated impressive fundraising abilities, raising over $3 million in just three days last week.
