RFK Jr. initiates fitness challenge amid Trump and Biden’s age worries
Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Launches Fitness Program to Energize Voters
Presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is taking a unique approach to the 2024 election by prioritizing fitness. In an effort to boost voter confidence, Kennedy has introduced the AmericaMoves challenge, a workout program aimed at motivating individuals to stay active for at least 24 minutes a day.
“The AmericaMoves challenge has set out to ignite a wellness revolution,”
According to Kennedy’s campaign, this initiative was inspired by concerns surrounding the mental and physical fitness of both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, two of the oldest presidents in U.S. history.
Kennedy, who is 70 years old, gained attention in June 2023 when a video of him doing shirtless push-ups went viral. In the video, he humorously captioned it as ”Getting in shape for my debates with President Biden!” This display of physical fitness stood in stark contrast to Biden, who has faced criticism for his cognitive decline.
Not only has Biden’s mental fitness been questioned due to incoherent speeches and public falls, but Trump’s mental fitness has also been called into question. At a recent rally, Trump mistakenly referred to Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley as former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, leading to concerns about his ability to lead.
Despite these concerns, first lady Jill Biden has repeatedly defended her husband’s age, referring to it as an asset.
The AmericaMoves challenge began on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. and will continue for the next two months, providing an opportunity for voters to prioritize their own fitness while considering the fitness of their potential leaders.
