Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has ‌filed a lawsuit against ‌YouTube and‍ its parent company Google, alleging that the platform violated his First Amendment right by removing videos featuring his​ interviews and speeches. Robert F.⁤ Kennedy Jr., son of the late Robert F. Kennedy, has faced accusations of spreading misinformation about vaccines during the coronavirus pandemic. ⁣His skepticism towards vaccines also led to his removal from Instagram by‌ Meta for several months. Additionally, he had segments discussing vaccines cut from interviews ⁢with traditional news outlets.

After removing ⁤the ‍videos, YouTube ⁣explained to Kennedy⁢ that‍ while they allow content with educational, ‌documentary, scientific, or artistic context, the removed videos were considered raw footage without sufficient context.

Kennedy ‍is seeking a ⁤jury trial and injunctive relief to prevent YouTube from further removing his videos.
