RFK Jr. to host ‘real debate’ simultaneously with Trump-Biden matchup – Washington Examiner
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is set to host an alternative “real debate” at the same time as the scheduled debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. Kennedy’s decision follows a setback in his campaign where he did not meet CNN’s strict requirements to participate in their debate, missing out on a significant exposure opportunity. To counter this, Kennedy’s debate will be aired on therealdebate.com, with libertarian John Stossel as the moderator. Kennedy, determined not to be silenced, asserts his commitment to making his voice heard despite not being included in the mainstream debate.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will host a “real debate” simultaneously with the debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
Kennedy faced a major campaign setback when he failed to meet CNN’s strict debate requirements — an opportunity that would have given him his biggest platform yet. In an attempt to salvage the situation, Kennedy is hosting his own “real debate,” which will be held simultaneously with the Trump-Biden debate.
The debate will be broadcast on therealdebate.com and moderated by libertarian John Stossel.
“But I’m not gonna let them silence us,” Kennedy declared in a video statement. “Go to therealdebate.com to watch me answer the same debate questions live. I’m gonna be on that debate stage with or without their permission.”
After the debate, Kennedy is set to join NewsNation for post-debate coverage.
“‘The Real Debate’ is an event you will not want to miss,” the Kennedy campaign said in a statement to the Washington Examiner when asked for further details on the debate.
The independent presidential candidate denounced CNN for excluding him from the debate, claiming it was illegal.
“Presidents Biden and Trump do not want me on the debate stage and CNN illegally agreed to their demand,” he said in a statement last week.

“My exclusion by Presidents Biden and Trump from the debate is undemocratic, un-American, and cowardly. Americans want an independent leader who will break apart the two-party duopoly,” Kennedy continued. “They want a President who will heal the divide, restore the middle class, unwind the war machine, and end the chronic disease epidemic.”
Kennedy’s campaign raised just $2.6 million in May, according to FEC filings, well below the $85 million Biden and the DNC raised in May and the $141 million that Trump and the Republican National Committee raised in May.
