Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Calls for Democratic Party to Restore “Template of Democracy”

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. believes that the Democratic Party needs to regain the trust of the American people by restoring a “template of democracy.” In an interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, Kennedy called on President Joe Biden to engage in conversations and debates to better understand the desperation that many Americans are feeling. He also suggested that Biden and other Democrats are not being sufficiently questioned by the public.

Challenging Biden

While Kennedy faces an uphill battle to take on Biden for the Democratic presidential nomination, polls have shown that Biden’s approval rating appears to be slipping. In a hypothetical 2024 general election, Biden is falling behind Trump. When asked if he would support Biden if the president gets the nomination, Kennedy said that he expects to be the nominee and that he does not have a plan B. Kennedy also said that he would consider joining a Republican presidential administration if he was asked and if the GOP nominee wins the general election next year.
