Riley Gaines warns Harris presidency would put Biden’s gender policies ‘on steroids’

EXCLUSIVE — Outkick’s Gaines for Girls podcast host Riley Gaines warned that the consequences of a 2024 victory by Vice President Kamala Harris would escalate the Biden administration’s work on transgender ideology.

Gaines referenced how Harris was voted “the most progressive senator” during her time in the Senate, which she cited as a reason to believe the vice president would take the current administration’s work regarding transgender ideology and put it “on steroids.” The women’s sports activist argued that the original intent of Title IX, which protects students from sex-based discrimination, no longer exists due to President Joe Biden and Harris’s leadership.

“So four more years of the same administration, again on steroids, is a scary thought, not just for women, it’s a scary thought for humanity, really,” Gaines told the Washington Examiner. “But as a woman, it does make me fearful. It makes me fearful for my younger sister, it makes me fearful for– you know, I’ve been married for two and a half years, I can only hope to have a daughter of my own one day, and I will be voting for President Trump because I care about my daughter’s future.”

When asked what she would like to see from former President Donald Trump if he wins the 2024 election, Gaines stressed the need for “decisive executive action on day one” to reverse the impacts of the Biden administration. Gaines explained that the current administration has “equated sex with gender identity” and has consequently abolished “women’s ability to earn academic and athletic scholarships.”

Gaines added that she would like to see the Trump administration ensure that the restoration of women’s sports is “enforced” both federally and at the state level. She suggested that campaigning on this would be “an effective way” to win over votes from younger women, who “tend to vote progressively.”

The podcast host also discussed the recent presidential debate, joining the number of critics of ABC News and its “demoralizing” handling of it. She contended that Trump could have pressed “a little harder” on the impacts of gender ideology more at the debate, as this is a topic that does not poll well for the Democratic Party.

With less than two months left before the 2024 presidential elections, Gaines said she plans to help the Republican Party win back the Senate. She also said she would visit 17 college campuses to “engage the youth” and remind them how much of an impact this voting bloc has on elections.

Ahead of the election, Trump showcased the Republican Party’s 2024 platform, among which is a desire to “keep men OUT of women’s sports.”

The former president has also vowed to ban transgender surgeries for minors, a topic that has come under increased criticism in recent years.

While the Harris campaign requested another debate against Trump, the former president questioned the necessity of a second one between him and the vice president, whom he claimed was “beaten badly.” Despite this, several prominent Republicans have encouraged the idea of another debate, with Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley stating that any chance Trump has to lay out his vision is “something we’d be very interested in conversation about.”
