Riley Keough halts movie set due to pre-kiss meal.
Lisa Marie Presley’s Daughter Recalls Chaotic Movie Set Incident
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, actress Riley Keough shared a memorable and chaotic experience on the set of her 2018 movie “Under The Silver Lake.” Keough, the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley, revealed that she inadvertently caused a shutdown on set due to a simple granola bar.
Keough explained that she was in the makeup trailer, enjoying a granola bar, when the makeup artist noticed something concerning. Andrew Garfield, her co-star and love interest in the film, had a severe peanut allergy. The makeup artist immediately alerted the production team, and chaos ensued.
“Riley, Andrew’s very allergic to peanuts and we have to shut the set down,” a producer informed Keough.
Keough was taken aback by the situation, realizing the potential danger she had unknowingly posed. She expressed her gratitude that the makeup artist caught the issue before it escalated.
“Thank God that this woman caught it, ’cause I had no idea,” Keough said.
Unfortunately, this was not the first time Garfield had experienced an allergic reaction on set. Years prior, while filming “Never Let Me Go,” he had a similar incident that landed him in the hospital.
“There I was sitting in between these beautiful girls, when I started having an allergic reaction to something in my food,” Garfield recalled.
Garfield’s co-stars, Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan, were understandably concerned and worried for his well-being. The incident proved to be an awkward and uncomfortable moment for everyone involved.
While the incident caused a temporary disruption on set, it serves as a reminder of the importance of food allergies and the need for heightened awareness in such environments.
