RNC and Lara Trump mobilize poll watchers in Pennsylvania, aiming to form ‘an army
Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump, is actively promoting the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) initiative to bolster their presence in Pennsylvania by recruiting poll watchers, poll workers, and legal experts. This effort is part of a larger campaign named “Protect The Vote” which she discussed during a tour stop in Pennsylvania. Lara Trump highlighted that this RNC program aims to guarantee free, fair, and transparent elections, describing it as unprecedented in its scope and purpose. The campaign specifically targets Pennsylvania, a pivotal state in presidential elections, and plans to amass at least 5,000 volunteers there. Furthermore, Lara Trump mentioned a nationwide goal to create a 100,000-strong team dedicated to maintaining electoral integrity across the United States.
Lara Trump, former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, is touting the Republican National Committee’s effort to recruit poll watchers, poll workers, and legal experts in Pennsylvania, a swing state critical to the presidential election.
The RNC co-chairwoman spoke at a tour stop for the RNC’s “Protect The Vote” in Pennsylvania on Tuesday.
“We from the RNC have put in place an incredible election integrity program,” she said. “This is unlike anything we’ve ever done before, and it is to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections.”
The RNC is reportedly aiming to recruit at least 5,000 volunteers in Pennsylvania, with Lara Trump saying the committee wants “to have an army of people across this country, 100,000 people strong, working around the country to ensure integrity in our election.”
The initiative is designed to “champion election integrity, rally voters for President Trump, and train volunteers to ensure it is easy to vote and hard to cheat this November,” according to an RNC press release. RNC Chairman Michael Whatley added of the poll watchers and workers, “If this thing goes smoothly, this is a very boring job. And that’s really what we want is we want to make sure that all of the systems are going to operate very smooth — we want it to be fair, accurate, secure, and transparent.”
Democrats responded to the effort, taking aim at the Republican Party’s unfounded claims of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 elections, sparing no quarter for Donald Trump.
“Donald Trump is terrified that Pennsylvania voters will hand him another defeat in November, so he and his Republican allies are using whatever resources they have left to spread dangerous lies about rigged elections,” Democratic National Committee spokeswoman Addy Toevs told the Pennsylvania Capital-Star. “The truth is much simpler than that: Trump is a loser. Trump knows that his best shot at a victory in November is to attempt to undermine our democratic process, just like he tried and failed to do in 2020.”
“Democrats will continue to fight for every voter’s right to make their voice heard — early, by mail, and in person on Election Day — free from intimidation, misinformation, or suppression,” Toevs added.

Pennsylvania has a critical 19 electoral votes and is rated as a “toss-up” state by the Cook Political Report.
