A Failed Robber Gets a Shocking Surprise
A failed robber was in for a surprise on August 16th when he attempted to rob a liquor store owner in Fountain Valley. Little did he know, the owner had a real handgun ready to defend himself.
The dramatic incident was captured on surveillance footage from Cousins Liquor on Harbor Boulevard. In the video, which has been shared in an online article by USA Today, the would-be robber dressed in all black approached Jacko Sadek, the store’s owner, and pointed what appeared to be a handgun at him. He yelled, “Don’t play games” and demanded money.

As soon as the would-be robber saw the real gun, he quickly fled the store, leaving his attempted robbery behind.
According to USA Today, the store owner mentioned that the unknown man had a getaway driver waiting outside to aid in their escape.
Mr. Sadek informed ABC local news that the police would be running DNA tests on the suspect’s handprints left on the counter in an effort to identify him.

Despite attempts to reach out for comment, Fountain Valley Police did not respond.
