Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Announces 2024 Presidential Bid

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a well-known figure in environmental law and vaccine safety advocacy circles, announced his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election on April 5th. He submitted the necessary paperwork to run as a Democrat, according to an official Federal Election Commission (FEC) filing.

Speaking exclusively to The Epoch Times, Kennedy criticized the partisan political landscape in the United States, claiming that it was more divided and toxic than ever before. Instead, he said that his campaign would focus on the common values that unite Americans.

Kennedy is the second prominent figure to throw their hat into the ring for the Democratic nomination, following Marianne Williamson.

Robert F. Kennedy’s father, the late Sen. Robert Kennedy (D-N.Y.), was assassinated while running for president in 1968, while his uncle, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated in Texas in 1963. Kennedy signaled his intention to run for the presidency earlier in March in a tweet.

Kennedy’s campaign centers around his “Freedom First” message and his anger towards the so-called “elites”. The candidate seeks to put an end to the perceived corruption between government and corporate power that he claims has damaged the American economy, polluted the environment, and endangered American values and freedoms.

One issue that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to focus on heavily throughout his presidential campaign is vaccine safety. Kennedy has been critical of the current administration’s policies relating to COVID-19, which he believes are harming Americans.

He founded the not-for-profit health organization Children’s Health Defense, which is working to alleviate chronic health problems brought about by environmental issues, and he believes that the COVID-19 genetic vaccines are causing serious health problems.

Kennedy recently took part in an interview with the EpochTV program “American Thought Leaders”. In it, he questioned the efficacy and safety of vaccines, citing research conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 2000, which he believes shows that vaccines had almost nothing to do with the 70-80% fall in mortality rates due to infectious diseases since 1900. Instead, he credited advancements in sanitation and transportation of food for the decline. Additionally, Kennedy believes that vaccines can inadvertently shorten people’s lives and make them less effective.

Social media platforms, such as Instagram, have censored Kennedy’s content surrounding criticism of the COVID-19 vaccines.

Another issue that Kennedy has been discussing is “agency capture” within the pharmaceutical industry. He accuses regulators of being co-opted by Big Pharma, resulting in compromised safety standards and corrupted clinical trials.

During the same “American Thought Leaders” interview, Kennedy expressed his concerns about the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and proposed that it be subject to increased oversight to curb its abuses of power. In particular, he claimed that the CIA had been involved in various major events in history to manipulate people, such as sensory deprivation, fear and propaganda, and torture.

According to Kennedy, under the leadership of Allen Dulles, the CIA became a “tumor” on the country of the United States. Kennedy accuses the agency of being a “government within a government” and implementing “mind control” techniques, such as spreading fear and propaganda, to manipulate people into doing their bidding.
