Rogan says interview with Harris is still on the table – Washington Examiner
Joe Rogan, the host of a popular podcast, has expressed interest in interviewing Vice President Kamala Harris before Election Day. Amid her declining support from male voters, Harris’s team recently engaged with Rogan to arrange an appearance on ”The Joe Rogan Experience” to help improve her standing with this demographic. However, scheduling conflicts reportedly hindered the potential interview, according to Harris’s campaign spokesman. Rogan remains optimistic about the possibility, stating that he prefers to conduct the interview in his studio in Austin rather than traveling, as initially proposed. He emphasized his intent to have a genuine conversation with Harris rather than a traditional interview format. This discussion follows a highly viewed episode Rogan had with former President Donald Trump, where the possibility of Harris joining the podcast was also mentioned.
Joe Rogan reveals podcast interview with Harris could happen before Election Day
Podcast host Joe Rogan said he is negotiating an interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, and he expressed his hope that a podcast episode set on his own terms will happen before Election Day.
Faced with a sharp decline in support from male voters, Harris’s team met with Rogan earlier this month in an effort to schedule an appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience and make inroads with the demographic, per a Reuters report. However, during an interview with MSNBC last week, Harris campaign spokesman Ian Sams said the podcast wouldn’t work out due to “scheduling” conflicts.
Rogan tried to keep his possible conversation with Harris alive with a social media post early Tuesday morning saying talks about the interview are in the works, though he is continuing to negotiate the terms to his liking.
HOW PODCASTS HAVE TAKEN A LARGER ROLE IN THE 2024 ELECTION
“For the record the Harris campaign has not passed on doing the podcast. They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her and they only wanted to do an hour. I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin,” Rogan said in a post on X.
“My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being. I really hope we can make it happen,” he continued.

Rogan’s comments come after he recently released a wildly popular episode with former President Donald Trump. The podcast episode garnered more than 37 million views on YouTube within the first three days of its release.
Rogan, who is also a stand-up comedian and has a long background in the UFC as a broadcaster, discussed his hope of bringing Harris on during his interview with Trump.
“I will talk to her like a human being. I would try to have a conversation with her. I think we’d have a fine conversation. I think I’d be able to talk to her. I wouldn’t try to interview her. I’d just try to have a conversation with her and hopefully get to know her as a human being. That was my goal. Having her on, trying to get her to express herself,” he told Trump.
While the former president told Rogan “she’d be laying on the floor” and expressed his doubt that Harris would come on the show, the podcast host held out hope.
Trump: Can you imagine Kamala doing this show?
Rogan: I could imagine her doing this show.
Trump: She’d be laying on the floor.
Rogan: She was supposed to do it. And she might still do it. I hope she does.

As the most popular podcast in the United States, the Joe Rogan Experience boasts millions of listeners. With the majority of Rogan’s following being male, the platform represents an opportunity for Harris to pitch her campaign to men. A USA Today/Suffolk University poll released earlier this month found Trump has doubled his lead among male voters since the 2020 presidential election, news that spells trouble for Harris as her lead drops with under a week until the election.
As she campaigned in Michigan over the weekend, Harris was caught on a hot mic expressing concern to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) about her struggles gaining support from men.
“So what I hear is we need to move more around among men,” she can be heard saying in a low voice to Whitmer as the two sipped a beer at a Michigan bar.
