According to a new report, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis will announce his 2024 presidential bid on Twitter during a conversation with the platform’s CEO Elon Musk. The announcement will take place on Twitter Spaces, the company’s audio platform, and will be moderated by tech entrepreneur David Sacks. The conversation will begin at 6 p.m. ET and will give Musk’s 140 million Twitter followers access to Florida’s governor. Sacks, who is close to Musk and supports DeSantis’ bid for the GOP nomination, will moderate the conversation.
