Ron DeSantis secures 35 fresh endorsements from SC politicians.
Gov. Ron DeSantis Gains 35 More Endorsements in South Carolina
Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R-FL) presidential campaign announced on Wednesday that it has secured an additional 35 endorsements from lawmakers and local leaders in South Carolina.
The new endorsements join the 15 he had previously received from state legislators ahead of his South Carolina campaign stop in late June, bringing his total endorsements in the state to an impressive 50. The latest additions include Rep. Joe Bustos (R-SC), two sheriffs, several county council members and county clerks, six school board members, and five former officials, as reported by Fox Carolina.
Forward-Looking Vision for South Carolina and the Nation
“Governor DeSantis has a forward-looking vision to reverse the decline of this nation and get our economy back on track for working families in South Carolina and across the country,” Bustos said. ”As a fellow veteran, Ron DeSantis uniquely understands the service and sacrifice of our military, veterans, and their families, and I am proud to endorse him to be the next commander-in-chief and president of the United States.”
With a total of 275 endorsements from state legislators nationwide, Governor DeSantis’s support continues to grow. The 50 endorsements from South Carolina will prove valuable as the state is among the first to vote in the Republican primaries.
A Proven Leader for the American People
“Governor DeSantis is a leader who delivered the most conservative agenda in the nation in Florida, cutting taxes, providing economic relief for working families, protecting personal freedoms, supporting law enforcement, and fighting for parents’ rights,” said Tega Cay Mayor Pro Temp Tom Hyslip. “As president of the United States, he will get the job done and deliver those same results for the American people.”
DeSantis’s previous endorsements in South Carolina came from 11 state House representatives and four state senators.
