Ron Johnson says vaccine injury played big role in reelection decision

Republican Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin has cited his advocacy for vaccine injury victims as a major factor in his decision to seek reelection in 2022.

Johnson stated that vaccine injuries “are not all that rare” and that he will be focusing on advocating for victims and uncovering the truth about injuries resulting from vaccinations. He told Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo that he believes he can uncover valuable information and expose the truth about vaccine injuries.

In the run-up to his reelection campaign, Johnson raised concerns about the safety of COVID-19 vaccines, claiming that more than 3,000 people died within 30 days of taking the vaccine. However, federal health officials have not found evidence linking these deaths to the vaccine.

Republicans were unable to flip control of the Senate during the 2022 midterm elections, which means Johnson lacks subpoena power that could aid his investigation into vaccine injuries. Nevertheless, the Republicans did gain control of the House, which could allow them to investigate the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic, with some theories suggesting it began as a result of a lab leak.
