Jackson aired⁤ this demand on Fox News’s ‍”Sunday‍ Morning Futures⁣ With Maria Bartiromo” ‍stating the need arises from persistent accusations against Biden using performance-enhancing ‍drugs. Citing a notable difference in Biden’s demeanor during his State of the Union address compared to his usual public appearances, Jackson⁢ argues that these suspicions warrant a formal test. Furthermore, he is preparing to send ‌a letter to this effect‌ to ‌President Biden, his doctor, and his Cabinet, reflecting the concerns of many Americans about Biden’s fitness and integrity in this regard. Jackson mentioned that Biden’s preparations might involve strategic dosing to enhance debate performance, underscoring the necessity of the drug ‌tests.

Rep. Ronnie Jackson (R-TX) demanded that President Joe Biden submit to a drug test before and after his debate with former President Donald Trump.

Republicans have long accused Biden of using performance-enhancing drugs to appear more agile, a charge the White House has repeatedly denied. Jackson took such allegations to another level in an appearance on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures With Maria Bartiromo.

“I’m sending a letter to President Biden, to his physician, Doctor O’Connor, and I’m CCing in his entire Cabinet. And it’s embarrassing that I have to do this, and it’s really embarrassing, as a former White House physician, to have to do something like this, but we don’t have any choice based on what’s going on,” he said.

“But I’m going to be demanding, on behalf of many millions of concerned Americans right now, that he submit to a drug test before and after this debate, specifically looking for performance-enhancing drugs, because we see, we’ve seen recently in his State of the Union address, that there was a Joe Biden that came out that was not similar at all to what we see on a day-to-day basis for the last three and a half years,” Jackson continued.

He speculated that Biden’s debate prep would center around experimenting with different doses in order to get it right for the actual debate.

“You know, he’s going to be Camp David for a full week before the debate; part of that is probably experimenting with, you know, just getting the doses just right,” the Texas Republican said. “Because, you know, they have to treat his cognition. They have to give him something to help him think straighter. They have to give him something to wake him up, you know, to for his alertness. And then, you know, he’s been agitated, we see that all the time. And that’s a common symptom of signs of the cognitive disorder he seems to be suffering from. And so, they’re probably going to give him something to take off the edge of that as well.”

The Washington Examiner reached out to Biden for comment.

Trump has repeatedly speculated and joked since the 2020 campaign that Biden is using drugs to stay alert.

Speaking at the Minnesota Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Reagan Dinner, Trump said Biden was going to be “so jacked up” for the debate, adding that he was “high as a kite” during his State of the Union Address. He also joked that he would demand a drug test before the debate.

In previous statements, the Biden campaign has denied the president uses any drugs. In an April statement to Forbes, Biden campaign spokesman Ammar Moussa called Trump’s accusations “a bizarre outburst” meant to distract from his policies.
