Rudy Giuliani settled a defamation case brought against him by two Georgia election workers who he repeatedly falsely said were involved in stealing the 2020 election.

Giuliani was previously ordered to pay $11 million of the $148 million judgment he owed Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, the two election workers.

“We have fought to clear our names, restore our reputations and prove that we did nothing wrong,” the women said in the statement. “Today is a major milestone in our journey. We have reached an agreement and we can now move forward with our lives.”

The full details of the settlement have yet to be released, but he will be able to keep some assets that he was in jeopardy of losing, including his condo in Florida, a 10-room apartment on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, a vintage Mercedes-Benz convertible, World Series rings from when he was mayor of New York, and a signed Joe DiMaggio jersey.

Until the settlement, it appeared Giuliani was slated to lose those assets.

Joseph Cammarata, a lawyer for Giuliani, told reporters outside of the courthouse that the negotiations were ironed out “over the last 72 hours” and that Giuliani was pleased with the outcome.

“This resolution does not involve an admission of liability or wrongdoing by any of the Parties,” Giuliani said on the matter.

The settlement came after Giuliani was scheduled to appear in court Thursday, but he did not show up, the reason for which was not immediately clear. However, around an hour into the hearing, Giuliani posted a video of his dog, Vinny, on social media.

“Vinny loves hanging out at Mar-a-Lago, but he’s ready to spend a lot more time in Washington, D.C. over the course of the next four years in support of his favorite President—Donald J. Trump!” Giuliani wrote.

Last week, Giuliani was found in contempt for failing to answer questions that might have given evidence to his claim that his condo in Palm Beach, Florida, was his primary residence, which would have made it exempt from seizure under Florida state law.
