Samantha Bee Admits She ‘Pulls Punches’ On Joe Biden

Leftist comedienne Samantha Bee, who infamously referred to Ivanka Trump as a “feckless c**t” and suffered no repercussions for it, admitted that she takes a light approach to President Joe Biden compared to her intense criticisms of former President Trump.

Speaking with Dan Rather on his SiriusXM program, Bee said that she “can’t deny” that she has avoided mocking Joe Biden because she approves of his agenda.

“Do you, or do you not, find yourself sometimes at least tempted to kind of pull your punches?” Rather asked. “In other words, you, myself, and a lot of people, more or less free-swingers against President Trump. But now that Biden is in, I don’t know, do you find yourself sometimes saying, ‘Oh boy, there’s a nasty comedy bit I can unload on Biden,’ but saying to yourself, ‘I approve of him so much I’m going to pull this punch?’”

“I can’t deny that that has happened, I think that’s probably true across the board,” Bee responded, as reported by Fox News. “You’re like, ‘OK, well, we could be making jokes about the infrastructure plan,’ but in general, I’m like, ‘Wow, this is great.’ Why would I purposefully undermine something that seems to be a great idea, pretty much across the board?”

Bee said she prefers to “make jokes” toward “more worthy targets” while saying she will hit the Biden administration when she feels its necessary.

“I like to make really targeted jokes,” she said. “There are more worthy targets right now.”

In 2018, Samantha Bee found herself at the center of controversy when she called Ivanka Trump a “feckless c**t” for allegedly not confronting her father on his immigration policy, prompting a massive backlash from conservatives and even some members of the mainstream media.

“Ivanka Trump, who works at the White House, chose to post the second most oblivious tweet we’ve seen this week,” Bee said. “You know, Ivanka, that’s a beautiful photo of you and your child, but let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dad’s immigration practices you feckless c**t! He listens to you. Put on something tight and low-cut and tell your father to f***ing stop it. Tell him it was an Obama thing and see how it goes, OK?”

After significant backlash, Bee eventually apologized for using the word “c**t” as an insult rather than a word she hoped to reclaim.

“A lot of people were offended and angry that I used an epithet to describe the president’s daughter and adviser last week. It is a word I have used on the show many times, hoping to reclaim it. But this time I used it as an insult. I crossed the line. I regret it and I do apologize for it,” Bee said. “The problem is that many women have heard that word at the worst moments of their lives, and a lot of them don’t want that word reclaimed — they want it gone. And I don’t blame them. I don’t want to inflict more pain on them. I want this show to be challenging and I want it to be honest.”
