This past weekend, a trainee worked the counter while several San Francisco Police officers visited our shop. Unbeknownst, the trainee mistreated officers. The Police Officers Association contacted us regarding the matter and we promptly apologized for the unfortunate incident. Because he wasn’t a good fit, the trainee was not hired. Pizza Squared would like to be very clear and say that we will never refuse to serve anyone regardless of their background, profession, or gender. We don’t consider this political. We welcome everyone who walks through our doors.
SFPOA was very pleased with the restaurant’s prompt action and apology.
“We were pleased to receive an immediate response from the owners, including a sincere apology for their employee’s actions and a commitment to meet with the affected officers and make this unfortunate situation right,” McCray added.
