Sarah Huckabee Sanders signs Arkansas universal school choice bill

After the bill was passed by the state legislature on Tuesday, the governor signed the bill in a formal signing ceremony. This bill introduces a universal school option program, raises teacher salaries and restricts the teaching of controversial theories like critical race theory.

Every kid should have access to a quality education and a path to a good paying job and better life right here in Arkansas.”

Arkansas becomes the third state in this year’s lineup to pass a universal education choice program. This follows similar legislation passed earlier this year by Utah and Iowa. They join West Virginia, Arizona, and West Virginia in establishing universal school choice.

Education freedom activists praised the new law.
