It sent chills down my spine and makes me more disgusted than ever over all the violence and divisiveness that is the United States we currently live in. God help us all.”
It is a somber reminder that the students attending classes on this day were born after the tragic events of 9/11. The attacks claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people, with planes crashing into the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon. However, the heroic actions of the passengers on United Airlines Flight 93 prevented further devastation by bringing down the hijacked plane in rural Pennsylvania.
