Schumer Says U.S. Officials Believe UFOs Shot Down Over Alaska And Canada Were Balloons
Officials in the United States believe that the flying objects are not identified (UFO) spotted over the United States and Canada over the past couple days are balloons, the Senate’s top Democrat said Sunday morning.
Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos he discussed the situation with National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan on Saturday night.
“They believe they were, yes,” Schumer spoke to the anchor “This Week” When asked to confirm that the objects seen over Canada and Alaska were balloons, he replied:

Schumer stated that these objects were “much smaller” The balloon crashed off the coast South Carolina, at an altitude around 40,000 feet. This poses a risk to commercial aircraft.
