Scott Powell: Jesus Christ’s Resurrection, the Best-Documented Event of Ancient History, Is True for All Time

Easter marks the day and commemorates actual events, however miraculous, that followed the crucifixion and death of Christ that forever changed the world, whereas Christmas — the birthdate of the messiah, Jesus Christ — marks the turning point of dividing calendar history into two epochs, B. C. and A. D.

But how and why did the terrible incident and profound grief brought on by the messiah’s’s passing positively impact forever? Why do Easter make a happy holiday? The solution is neither difficult nor obscure.

There are numerous faiths throughout the world that date back thousands of years. Only Christianity, however, had a leader who claimed to be the Messiah— the son of God— and who, by defeating destruction through resurrection, offered unquestionable evidence of His identity. Easter is a time to commemorate Christ’s’s resurrection.

With over 100 prophetic balances from 18 different Old Testament prophets between the twelfth and fifth centuries BC foretelling the specifics of Christ’s’s impending birth, life, and death, he is unquestionably the only person in history to have been pre-announced beginning a thousand years before his birth. Hundreds of years later, those predictions were confirmed in strangely precise and minute detail by the specifics of Christ’s’s delivery, life, betrayal, and death. David wrote a prophetic account of Christ’s’s death 1,000 years ago, when it was not known that it could be used as an implementation method.

Every some significant historical figure entered the world to exist. Some religious figures like Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Mohammad, and Confucius passed away, bringing an unsatisfying finish to their life and their contributions.

But in order to kill and atone for human crime, Christ entered the world as God’s’s son. The culmination of his life was his devotion, which he made for the good of all people and paved the way for everyone who believes to experience eternal life in heaven.

Just Christianity asserts that its leader is still alive and has triumphed over death through resurrection out of the five major world religions based on personalities. No Jew had thought that Abraham’s’s monument would ever be empty after he passed away and was buried. No servant claimed to have seen or spoken to Buddha afterwards after he or she passed away.

There is no evidence of Mohammed, the leader of Islam, showing up to his fans or followers after he passed away. Tens of thousands of devoted Muslims visit his occupied grave each year in Medina.

Christ was exceptional in that he gave up his life as a sacrifice to gratify his purpose for entering the community. Christ demonstrated the highest level of love imaginable through compassion for the weak and healing the sick, through his lessons, and by making the ultimate sacrifice — giving his life to save and save humanity. God then brought Jesus back from being dead in a tomb to being alive — resurrected— so that people would have living proof of who he was in order to provide” seeing is believing” evidence.

The New Testament contains accounts from numerous people who saw Jesus first after the ascension. In fact, over the course of 40 years, between the resurrection and his ascent into Heaven, Jesus made at least ten separate looks to his apostles. Some of those images were made to specific disciples, others to a group of followers, and once to up to 500 disciples at once.

The fact that there were no statements of witnesses who appeared and refuted these images or referred to it as a” fake” is particularly noteworthy. never one at all. Additionally, there is no historical documentation of any spectator statements that were contradictory.

Although there are those who doubt the bible Jesus, there is actually much more solid historical evidence supporting his life, lessons, miraculous healing, death, and reincarnation than for any other historical figure from antiquity. Consider, for example, that two ancient historical accounts of Alexander the Great’s’s existence by Arrian and Plutarch, which were written about 400 years after Alexander died, serve as evidence for his legitimacy. Alexander was born about 350 years before Christ.

More than four centuries after their passing, Virgil and Horace’s’s documents, who both lived within a century of Christ, were written. More than 500 years after the publication of the main account, copies of works by Livy and Tacitus on Roman history and Pliny Secundus’ on natural background were written.

However, there is no question that Virgil and Horace were enormous poets and writers. We also don’t see any doubts about the veracity and efficiency of Livy and Tacitus’ accounts of the events involving the Roman Emperors Augustus and Claudius, Nero, or Tiberius.

The gospels— Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John — are four distinct accounts of the historical Jesus that were written within a generation or two of his death rather than hundreds of years later. Matthew and John, the prophets, give witness accounts from their years of following Jesus as followers. Even though Mark was hardly a teenager when Jesus started his public ministry, he had firsthand knowledge of the events. The saint who wrote the most papers in the New Testament, Paul, taught Luke, the doctor, about Jesus.

With the exception of Homer, whose” Iliad” is supported by 1, 800 documents, the deeds and training of Jesus in the New Testament are preserved in in 1, 000 years more manuscript than there are in some traditional early works of historical figures who lived around the same time. However, that is still fewer than one tenth of the number of historical documents that support the New Testament’s’s veracity.

The disciples were in a different position because of their encounter with the crucified Jesus because they were certain that Jesus was in fact the Son of God. They had witnessed Jesus’ career, government, mysteries, and death. The disciples would have known if the cases about Jesus were untrue. Because of this, their dedication to their evidence was so strong and powerful.

However, the apostles’ willingness to sacrifice their lives in support of their claims serves as a powerful piece of evidence that the reincarnation is real. Nobody may sacrifice their life for anything they created or think is untrue.

The disciples were changed by seeing, conversing with, and touching the risen Jesus. They consequently dedicated the rest of their lives to educating people about and promoting the gospel of Christ’s’s salvation. While John was banished to Patmos Island, where the book of Revelation was kept, eleven of the twelve apostles— including Matthias, who took the place of Judas, the betrayer of Jesus — died as martyrs for their beliefs in the deity of Christ.

It turns out that Easter, which has its greatest significance in the reincarnation, is one of the most meticulously examined and well-documented historical occurrences. The resurrection actually occurs and alters it. Easter is a time to remember and celebrate the one occasion that permanently changed the course of history.
