In a shocking new lawsuit that emerged on Thursday, singer Cassie has come forward with allegations of rape and physical abuse against Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The talented artist known as Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, has revealed that she was only 19 years old when she first encountered the CEO of Revolt, Sean Combs, in 2005. According to her claims, Diddy subjected her to a disturbing cycle of physical abuse and control, which included coercing her into engaging in sexual acts with male prostitutes while being filmed, physically assaulting her, and forcing her to consume drugs.
In her lawsuit, Cassie also alleges that in the final months of their relationship in 2018, Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, broke into her home and sexually assaulted her.
The lawsuit states that Diddy, 54, “had frequent fits of uncontrollable rage and would brutally beat Ms. Ventura,” while his staff and employees witnessed these “beatings” multiple times, yet remained silent out of fear.
Cassie further claims that the record producer and rapper behind “Gotta Move On” made her carry his gun in her purse as a constant reminder of “his ability to cause serious harm.”
“Throughout the years of physical and sexual abuse by Mr. Combs, she repeatedly tried to escape his tight grip on her life,” the lawsuit states. “Every time she attempted to hide, Mr. Combs’s extensive network of corporations and affiliated entities would track her down, with employees urging her to return to him.
“Many even went as far as explicitly stating that her refusal to go back to Mr. Combs would hinder her success in the entertainment industry.”
Cassie recounts a specific incident from 2018 when she joined Diddy for dinner, hoping to have a final discussion about ending their relationship for good. However, upon returning to her apartment, which Diddy financially supported, he forcefully entered and attempted to kiss her against her will.
“She told him to stop and tried to push him away,” the lawsuit details. ”Mr. Combs then forcibly removed Ms. Ventura’s clothing and unbuckled his belt. He proceeded to rape Ms. Ventura while she repeatedly said ‘no’ and struggled to resist.”
“After years of silence and darkness, I am finally ready to share my story and speak out on behalf of myself and other women who endure violence and abuse in their relationships… With the deadline for New York’s Adult Survivors Act approaching, I realized this was an opportunity to shed light on the trauma I have experienced and will continue to recover from for the rest of my life,” she revealed to journalists.
Cassie and Diddy had an on-and-off relationship for ten years before permanently ending things in 2018. In the following year, she married fitness trainer Alex Fine, and they now have two children together. Meanwhile, Diddy is currently dating rapper “Yung Miami” from the hip-hop group City Girls.
