Secret Service Deliberately Left Trump Vulnerable In Butler

The U.S. Secret Service undeniably failed to prevent the first assassination attempt against President Donald Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. As Federalist CEO Sean Davis told Tucker Carlson on “The Tucker Carlson Show” on Friday, however, the shooting that injured the Republican leader and killed one of his supporters was not the product of mere bureaucratic clumsiness but “strategic incompetence.”

Trump was deliberately left vulnerable,” Davis said. “I think that for a whole host of reasons. One, that I’m conscious and I’ve been alive.”

Mere days after the attempt to end the future president’s life, Davis reported that Trump’s security team was repeatedly handicapped from obtaining the resources it needed to secure the former president — so much so that his team stopped asking for more resources.

Davis told Carlson that it’s still unclear who repeatedly denied the requests. Secret Service Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi, however, “spent the whole weekend” after the article went live “calling reporters and telling them I was making it up.”

“[Guglielmi said] that it never happened. Puts out a statement: ‘It’s not true. [Trump] was never denied anything,’” Davis said.

In addition to hampering the Trump team’s general requests for more manpower, the federal agency responsible for securing presidents specifically diverted security staff and assets from the Butler rally to accommodate an event for First Lady Jill Biden in the nearby city of Pittsburgh.

“I mean, that’s kind of attempted murder, really,” Carlson replied. “So I don’t understand how — I mean, disobedience to the regime is punished immediately. Tax evasion is punished immediately. But, like, attempted murder is not.”

The Secret Service’s actions before the rally and then its response during, Davis said earlier in the interview, prove the agency deserves the blame for everything that happened at Butler.

“I think you can blame [the shooting] on one organization, which is the Secret Service. Utterly incompetent from top to bottom. It’s a totally rotten culture with no accountability. Nothing, so. And within that, you had a bunch of people who failed,” Davis said.

Davis also noted that the corporate media played an important role in ensuring the regime did not suffer the consequences of its actions and Americans did not get more information about the shooting.

“We know more about a guy who asked Obama a question about taxes than we do about a guy who shot Trump in the head,” Davis said, referencing conservative activist Joe the Plumber who was blasted by corporate media for pushing back on the Democrat presidential candidate’s plan to raise taxes.
