SEE IT: Christina Applegate slams Candace Owens over wheelchair underwear ad criticism

Christina Applegateslammed conservative commentator Candace Owens in a series of tweets on Thursday after the podcast host attacked a new underwear advertisement that featured a model in a wheelchair.

Applegate, who uses a cane to walk and has multiple sclerosis, described Owens’ comments on the subject as” horrifying.”

The artist, who is best known for her roles in Married with Children, Anchorman, and Dead to Me, was given the illness in 2021 while filming the final season of the show.

Applegate was diagnosed with breast tumors in 2008. To stop further development of some cancers, she reportedly underwent a double mastectomy and had her ovary and fallopian tube removed.

Owens responded to a 2022 underwear advertising from Kim Kardashian’s clothing industry Skims in an upcoming podcast show. A wheelchair-bound design wearing a Skims blouse and some undies appeared in the advertisement.

The observer said,” I’m not sure how much we’re going with this diversity thing.” I just don’t understand it, I have no idea, and if I’m right, please correct me.

I’m really getting tired of this all-inclusivity way, Owens continued. It seems absurd.

The advertisement was for Skims’ dynamic collection, which is designed to give people with disabilities or limited mobility options.

Applegate replied,” Yes, late tweet ,” in her response. but when I awoke, I saw the most horrible matter. This Candace woman is making remarks about businesses that recognize our desire for assistance. It’s absolutely disgusting. I appreciate Skims, Tommy, Guide Beauty, and @ neowalksticks seeing us. To you, you ought to know better.

Going to try to sleep but my hatred is keeping me alive, she tweeted in response. Do you realize, Candace Owens, how f ****** difficult it was to get my clothes on when you have seen pictures of me? I need a team’s assistance! For myself and my place, I’m thrilled about mobility clothing. I hope u wake.

She then expressed a different opinion and offered to inform Owens of her war.

” I believed that my previous post was sufficient. But now my heart made another statement. No fury. If Candace wants to call me to learn more about being disabled. I won’t show up angry. I’ll bring fancy with me. She needs to hear that, after all. Evening, I say a prayer for her. Truly ,” she penned.

Owens addressed the condemnation in a brand-new podcast episode that was released on Wednesday.

This disprove the notion that I’m an insensitive, she remarked. ” I thought it was really, really fascinating that I wanted to find handicapped people and get them out of places.” That is complete drivel.

She later remarked,” I’ve spent my entire career fighting the notion that I must see dark women outside in order to feel like I’m allowed to be black or a woman.”

Owens hasn’t already addressed Applegate’s remarks or her have, though.
