Sen. Blackburn, Trump Jr. Slam Karine Jean-Pierre For False Claim About Michael Knowles: ‘Spewing Misinformation And Lies’
After falsely claiming at a White House briefing that Daily Wire host Michael Knowles requested the White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre received backlash this week “eradication of transgender people” During a speech to the CPAC.
Jean-Pierre referred to Knowles’ speech from Saturday last week when he demanded the reinstatement of the “eradication” Radical gender ideology. There were several left-wing media outlets that initially claimed Knowles had called for “eradication” Later, they corrected their reporting by a group of people and not an ideology. Jean-Pierre said that the White House must be believed after Jean-Pierre misrepresented Knowles’ words. “call out the shameful, hateful, and dangerous attacks that we have been seeing on the LGBTQI community.”

Jean-Pierre asked Knowles to respond on Twitter. “why are you lying about what I said?”
Many prominent conservative figures supported Knowles’ position in the wake of Jean-Pierre’s false claims.

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) Protected Knowles responded to a question by the New Republic’s far-left publication, saying: “By transgenderism, I assume he means the ideology of suggesting to kids who are suffering anxiety, depression, or what have you that there’s something fundamentally wrong with their bodies and they need to change their gender.”
“We’re having that debate in Missouri right now about whether we should push kids toward gender reassignment surgery,” He added. “I think no, no, no, no, no, no.”
Knowles stated that gender ideology was based on false assumptions about the human condition. He argued that it cannot be imposed upon or indulged in any context that doesn’t give credence to these premises. This undermines the foundations and values of society.
“For the good of society and especially for the good of the poor people who have fallen prey to this confusion, transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely, the whole preposterous ideology — at every level,” Knowles said.
Left-wing outlets, Democrat politicians, quickly reacted with outrage at Knowles’ speech. They misinterpreted Knowles comments as targeting individuals, and not an ideology. The Daily Wire demanded immediate retractions from Rolling Stone and Yahoo News as well as apologies for The Daily Beast’s coverage of Knowles’ speech.
The Daily Beast altered its original headline. It stated that Knowles was calling for the “transgender community” to be eliminated, to reflect that the podcast host urged for their elimination “transgenderism,” Not people who think they are transgender. Rolling Stone did a similar update.
Tucker Carlson of Fox News Channel interviewed Knowles Monday night. He said that he was shocked by the media headlines and that a California lawmaker accused him for calling for his arrest. “genocide.”
“I have been called all sorts of nasty things by the liberal press, Tucker, so I tend to expect everything,” Knowles began, conceding, “But I have to admit being accused of genocide did take me by surprise.”
