Sen. Cruz Calls On FBI To Search Hunter Biden’s Home, Office For Classified Documents
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) called on the Federal Bureau of Investigation to search the home and office of Hunter Biden for any classified materials following reports of an email exchange involving the president’s son in 2014.
Cruz made the suggestion based on a 1,300-word email that discussed destabilization in Ukraine found in Biden’s abandoned laptop to his former Burisma energy company business partner Devon Archer, who was sentenced in 2022 to more than a year in prison after being convicted of a fraud scheme.
GOP lawmakers began raising questions about whether the first son had improper access to classified information after officials found a trove of other documents at President Joe Biden’s home in Delaware and a Washington, D.C.
“It seems he leaves classified documents wherever he goes,” Cruz told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures,” Hunter Biden has been declared his residence in such homes at times.
After new information emerged about the bulk of documents that President Biden had allegedly donated to University of Delaware, Cruz joined Bartiromo. The Fox News host reported lawyers representing the parties are attempting to obtain the documents that include 1,850 boxes and 415 gigabytes of electronic records — enough to fill up two tractor-trailer trucks.
“I believe the natural next step that is necessary is for the FBI to examine the 1,850-plus boxes of documents from Joe Biden’s Senate tenure that’s at the University of Delaware,” Cruz said. “And I also believe it is critical for the FBI to search Hunter Biden’s home and office residences to make sure there are no classified documents there — given all the evidence that’s piling up.”
“We need to ascertain who’s had access to what and when,” He added.
The contents of such classified documents found at Biden’s home remain unknown. The senator stated that classified documents can be anywhere from “general geopolitical observations” Others about secret sources and methods to gather information that could expose covert operatives’ lives.
Cruz stated that lawmakers should be able to determine if such classified documents Biden has. “illegally” At multiple locations “family business activities and potential corruption.”
“Whether they involve Burisma and Ukraine, whether they involve Communist China and the entities that were paying the Biden family millions of dollars,” Cruz said. “If he, in fact, had classified documents that implicate his own financial well-being, that raises the potential of very serious criminal liability.”
The email exchange between the president’s son and Archer in question was from 2014, which reads, “some sort of decentralization will likely occur in the East.”
“If it doesn’t, the Russians will continue to escalate there (sic) destabilization campaign, which could lead to a full scale takeover of the eastern region most critically Donetsk. The strategic value is to create a landbridge for Russia to Crimea.”
Sen. Ron Johnson (R.WI), a leading congressional investigator into allegations regarding family corruption within the Biden family. The email looks something like this “scene-setter” The State Department for Overseas Travel, as it was “highly detailed information” About Ukraine
“It’s obvious that Hunter Biden is selling access to information,” Johnson also spoke in interview with Maria Bartiromo (Fox Business anchor). “Does that have anything to do with some of the classified documents that Vice President Biden was squirreling away in his residence? I don’t know. But it looks incredibly suspicious.”
