Sen. Hawley Confronts Biden Nominee for Lying Under Oath
Most of Joe Biden’s nominees have had a difficult confirmation process. This theme was reinforced by Senator Josh Hawley, who appeared to be able to capture one lying under oath.
Hawley quoted Colleen joy Shogan, who is the nominee for the position of archivist of America, as saying that her Twitter account was made up posts about mystery novels as well as events at The White House historical Association, Pittsburgh Sports Teams, travels, and even her dog. “accurate” characterization.
Hawley then quoted a tweet she had written, in which she bemoaned the removal of mask mandates to children under 5 years old. She tried to make a claim that it didn’t contradict her previous description of her feed. “personal capacity.”
When confronted further on her politically charged posts she repeated the line many times and would not answer questions from Hawley.

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs panel had previously voted on Shogan’s confirmation in September last year, but they were deadlocked at 7-7.
