Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.) said he disagrees with Big Tech censoring users. During an interview Tuesday, the Democrat socialist said he’s not comfortable with Twitter’s decision to ban President Trump after the events of January 6.
Additionally, the Vermont lawmaker said he wondered if and when Big Tech’s ability to censor users will go too far.
“Because yesterday it was Donald Trump who was banned and tomorrow it could be somebody else who has a very different point of view,” Sanders stated. “I don’t like giving that much power to a handful of high tech people, but the devil is obviously in the details and it’s something we’re going to have to think long and hard on.”
