Sen. Tim Scott takes aim at Chinese Communist Party in new ad, exposing their farmland acquisitions.
Presidential Candidate Sen. Tim Scott Vows to Protect American Farmers from Chinese Communist Party
Presidential candidate Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) is taking a stand against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and their acquisition of farmland in the United States. In a powerful one-minute ad released on Sunday, Scott promises to support American farmers and prevent the CCP from buying up our valuable agricultural resources.
Scott’s ad highlights his commitment to the Renewable Fuel Standard and year-round sales of E15, demonstrating his support for the production of ethanol and other homegrown biofuels. He also emphasizes the importance of fair trade and ensuring that American farmers have access to foreign markets.
“I will stop China from buying our farmland, and I will fight for fair trade to ensure our farmers have access to foreign markets. God bless Iowa and the bountiful harvest you provide to our nation each and every year.”
Scott’s dedication to protecting American farmers and securing our food security is resonating with voters. According to RealClearPolitics’ latest “2024 Republican Presidential Nomination” poll rankings, Scott is currently in sixth position with 2.7 points. However, former president Donald Trump leads the pack with a commanding 54.5 points.
Efforts to reduce Chinese ownership of land in the United States have gained bipartisan support. The Department of Agriculture estimates that foreign investors held an interest in approximately 40 million acres of U.S. agricultural land in 2021, with China owning 383,935 acres. To address this issue, a bipartisan proposal called the “Protecting America’s Agricultural Land from Foreign Harm Act” was introduced in the House, aiming to block CCP affiliates from gaining control over American farmlands.
The China Threat
Lawmakers recognize the Chinese Communist Party as America’s greatest foe, both economically and militarily. Beijing presents a grave threat to the homeland, as highlighted by Iranga Kahangama, assistant secretary for Cyber, Infrastructure, Risk, and Resilience of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). A majority of Americans, regardless of political affiliation, view China as the biggest threat to the nation.
Scott’s focus on protecting American farmers and addressing the China threat positions him as a strong candidate. Experts have even mentioned him as a potential running mate for President Trump’s campaign. Trump himself has praised Scott’s talent and indicated that he might consider one of his GOP opponents as his vice president if he wins the election.
“Let them debate so I can see who I MIGHT consider for Vice President!”
With his unwavering support for American farmers and determination to combat the CCP’s influence, Tim Scott is emerging as a formidable contender in the 2024 presidential race.
