Sen. Kyrsten Sinema Slams White House Press Secretary for False Claims About Southern Border
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) didn’t hold back when she criticized White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for her false claims about the security of the U.S. southern border. Sinema stated that Jean-Pierre’s comments were “just factually not true.”
During a press briefing on Monday, Jean-Pierre had jean-pierre-29/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>claimed that President Biden’s actions had led to a 90% decrease in illegal immigration. However, Sinema, who was born and raised in Arizona, disagreed with Jean-Pierre’s assessment.
Border Communities Are Suffering
Sinema appeared on Fox News’ “Special Report” with anchor Bret Baier to express her concerns about the situation at the southern border. She stated that anyone with eyes could see that the border was not secure and that border communities in her state were already suffering. She also mentioned that she had recently held a hearing in her border subcommittee and had spoken to mayors from small border towns in Arizona.

Sinema believes that Biden could start addressing the crisis by enforcing the laws that are already on the books. She also mentioned that there are bipartisan plans that could make a difference.
