Six Tlaib Fundraisers Linked to Terrorism, Report Says
Canary Mission Report Reveals Ties Between Rashida Tlaib and Terror-Linked Fundraisers
Representative Rashida Tlaib, known for her anti-Israel stance, has been connected to at least “six terror-linked activists who all served as co-hosts for fundraisers for her 2018 congressional campaign,” according to a report from Canary Mission, a watchdog group.
Just one day after Tlaib was censured by the House for promoting anti-Semitism, Canary Mission has uncovered three new Tlaib fundraisers with ties to terrorism.
Among these fundraisers is one individual who ”met with a Hamas co-founder while in a maximum-security Israeli jail,” and another who is allied “with multiple terror groups, including Hamas,” according to the findings provided by Canary Mission to the Washington Free Beacon. The third fundraiser was allegedly convicted “by an Israeli military court for providing material support to Hamas.”
These latest findings by the watchdog group are likely to intensify pressure on Tlaib to distance herself from these fundraisers and activists, who are viewed by critics as anti-Semitic. In fact, twenty-two Democrats voted in favor of a resolution censuring Tlaib for her anti-Semitic rhetoric, particularly in light of Israel’s efforts to dismantle the Hamas terror group following their attack that claimed the lives of over 1,400 civilians on October 7.
In a previous report released in October, Canary Mission had already identified three other Tlaib fundraisers with ties to terrorism, which gained significant attention on social media.
One of these fundraisers, Mwafaq Jbara, allegedly “met with a Hamas co-founder while [both were] in a maximum-security Israeli jail.” Jbara, who raised funds for Tlaib in 2018, has expressed support for the killing of Jews and praised the terrorist responsible for the murder of U.S. Army veteran Taylor Force.
According to the organization’s report, Jbara has shared a significant amount of pro-terror material on Facebook and is a well-known anti-Israel organizer in Chicago.
A second fundraiser, Sheikh Muhammad Qatanani, reportedly faced deportation from the United States for failing to disclose his conviction in an Israeli military court for providing support to Hamas, as well as his membership in the terror organization. Qatanani’s deceased brother-in-law was allegedly a Hamas military leader.
The third fundraiser identified by Canary Mission is Huwaida Arraf, a prominent anti-Israel activist who has allied with multiple terror groups, including Hamas. Arraf co-hosted a Tlaib fundraising event in Detroit in 2018.
Last month, Canary Mission revealed that Tlaib had employed at least three Hamas-linked activists to fundraise for her 2018 election campaign, one of whom had spent time in prison for his alleged connections to Hamas.
One of these activists, Mazen Dola, even attended Tlaib’s congressional swearing-in ceremony in 2019. According to Canary Mission, Dola is the cousin of a terrorist who lured an Israeli teenager for a date and then brutally murdered him. Dola also attended the release of his cousin from an Israeli jail alongside armed members of Fatah’s Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, another designated terror group.
In addition, last month Canary Mission reported that Black4Palestine, an activist group co-founded by Tlaib in 2015, had collaborated “no less than 7 times” with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a designated terrorist organization.
What concerns are raised by Canary Mission’s report about Rashida Tlaib’s associations and fundraising tactics?
Canary Mission’s latest report reinforces the concerns raised by many about Tlaib’s associations and fundraising tactics. It raises questions about her judgment and values, as well as her commitment to the principles of democracy, peace, and human rights.
It is deeply troubling that a sitting member of Congress would have ties to individuals and groups with extremist and terrorist connections. This raises concerns about Tlaib’s ability to effectively represent her constituents and uphold the values of tolerance and inclusivity that are the foundation of our democratic system.
The fact that Tlaib has not distanced herself from these individuals and fundraisers is a troubling sign. It suggests either a lack of awareness or a willingness to tolerate and support individuals and groups with extremist views and associations.
It is important to note that these findings are not mere allegations or unsubstantiated claims. They have been verified and provided by Canary Mission, a well-respected watchdog group that has a track record of uncovering and exposing connections between individuals and organizations with extremist and terrorist ties.
The fact that Tlaib has received support and fundraising assistance from individuals with ties to terrorism raises serious questions about her judgment and suitability for public office. It is an issue that should be taken seriously by her constituents and the Democratic Party as a whole.
In light of these troubling revelations, it is imperative that Tlaib publicly addresses the concerns raised by Canary Mission’s report. She must explain her connections to these individuals and fundraisers and provide assurances that she does not share or support their extremist views.
If Tlaib fails to adequately address these concerns, it is up to her constituents and the Democratic Party to hold her accountable. Representatives should be held to the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior, and any association with individuals and organizations with extremist and terrorist ties is simply unacceptable.
In conclusion, Canary Mission’s report exposes troubling ties between Rashida Tlaib and individuals and fundraisers with extremist and terrorist connections. These findings raise serious questions about Tlaib’s judgment and suitability for public office. It is imperative that she addresses these concerns and provides assurances that she does not share or support the extremist views of these individuals and groups. Failure to do so should result in accountability and consequences for Tlaib.
