‘So f***ing back’: Podcast hosts celebrate Trump’s victory

Conservative podcast hosts Dan Bongino and Russell Brand started their Wednesday episodes in celebration of President-elect Donald Trump winning the election.

Trump’s victory was cemented early Wednesday morning when he surpassed the 270 electoral vote threshold needed to win the presidency. In reflecting on Trump’s win, Bongino started his episode by stating he was “a little emotional” and that he is one of many people who woke up and realized “the country you knew is finally back.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, we are so f***ing back, man!” Bongino said on The Dan Bongino Show. “We are back. We are so back! To all the haters, to all the liberals, to all the progressives, to all the Commies, to all the people who called us fascist and Nazis and racist and deplorables and garbage and garbage bags and smellies and rednecks and hate seats and flyover countries, f*** you motherf***ers. And I don’t give a s*** what you think about it.”

Brand also started his show with a celebratory message that the United States is experiencing “a whole new world” post-Election Day. The commentator suggested that, based on the results of the 2024 election, legacy media no longer has the influence and sway on voters that it had in previous elections.

“The histrionics, for example, of Rachel Maddow or Joe Scarborough, are evidently insufficient to meld, melt, and direct the minds of enough people to swing an election,” Brand stated.

On Instagram, the podcast host and comedian shared a photo of him holding a red hat reading “Make Jesus First Again,” a reference to Trump’s iconic “Make America Great Again” campaign hat. Brand has documented his conversion to Christianity on social media throughout the year, which he has described as “amazing.”

Comedian Theo Von, host of the podcast This Past Weekend w/Theo Von, issued a congratulatory statement to Trump and his team on X, almost three months after the former president appeared on his podcast. Von also gave thanks to Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White, who gave a shoutout to Von and other podcast hosts for hosting the former president during a victory speech for Trump.

“Congratulations @realDonaldTrump @RobertKennedyJr and @JDVance and your team. And thank you @danawhite for helping podcasts contribute to the political landscape. NEVER would have happened without YOU! We invited all the candidates but only three showed up. #MAHA”

In winning the 2024 presidential election, Trump has become only the second president to win two non-consecutive presidential elections, the first being President Grover Cleveland, the 22nd and 24th U.S. president. Trump campaign press secretary Karoline Leavitt credited Trump’s victory to reaching out to voters both political parties had long ignored, which netted him a “large and diverse” group of supporters.

Vice President Kamala Harris has yet to concede the election but is set to provide a public concession planned for 4 p.m. at Howard University, her alma mater. The Harris campaign previously told attendees at her election watch party to go home before a winner was declared.
